Zombie Apocalypse Hits New York: Brad Pitt At 'World War Z' Premiere

Brad Pitt’s “World War Z” premiered in New York City last night, unleashing a slew of walking dead in Times Square. Brad Pitt was on hand to sign autographs and spill on the movie and on Angelina Jolie, according to published reports.

Brad Pitt’s “World War Z” will break out across the country on June 21. The zombie apocalypse movie was produced by Brad Pitt, who also stars in the horror pic.

“World War Z” was based on a very popular novel by Max Brooks that told the story of a zombie epidemic taking over the world through the eyes of survivors. The “World War Z” movie tells the same story through Brad Pitt’s character, a United Nations investigator who might be able to determine the cause of the plague. Mireille Enos plays Pitt’s wife.

Enos was one of the first to arrive at the World War Z premiere. She told the press "This process started at around 3:30. My daughter ran around while I was getting ready and said, 'Mommy looks beautiful.'"

Pitt's character in “World War Z” keeps his head about him while the world is running amok with brain eating zombies. His character is unflappable and wise. Pitt himself doesn’t know whether he’d survive a zombie apocalypse, but he likes to stay in charge of things. He says "I don't have a single mantra. It's just spending time with the people I value. I like calling shots on the fly and having faith in myself to make the right decisions. Wisdom comes with age. I like it!"

Brad Pitt’s wife, the superstar actress and activist Angelina Jolie wasn’t at the New York premiere. She recently made headlines around the world when she announced that she'd had a double mastectomy as a preventative move about breast cancer. Pitt said "She's doing great. Onward and upward."
