HBO GO and WatchESPN are now part of Apple TV channels.

Apple has just confirmed two new additions to the programming lineup of Apple TV. New Apple TV channels include HBO GO and WatchESPN, Deadline Hollywood reported.

According to the senior vice president of Apple's Internet Software and Services, Eddy Cue, HBO Go and WatchESPN are two of the most famous iOS apps, and including them as part of new Apple TV channels will be a sure hit.

"We continue to offer Apple TV users great new programming options, combined with access to all of the incredible content they can purchase from the iTunes Store," Cue said.

Aside from HBO Go and WatchESPN becoming part of Apple TV channels , other video content providers added to the programming lineup include Crunchyroll, Sky News and Qello.

According to Apple Insider, these new Apple TV channels will be part of Apple TV's set-top box. They will be added to the homescreen for updated and integrated streaming video options.

With new Apple TV channels such as HBO GO and WatchESPN, programming is expected to become even more enticing to customers. The new Apple TV channels are also expected to provide additional success to iTunes. Statistics say that one billion TV episodes and 380 million movies have been downloaded by iTunes users to date. Furthermore, iTunes users pay for more than 350,000 movies and 800,000 TV episodes each day.

Apple TV's price is $99. It gives users access to the best 1080p HD content, such as blockbuster movies, music, photos and more. Owners of Apple TV can also play media content from their iOS devices on the TV using the Airplay feature. For users to enjoy Apple TV as well as the new Apple TV channels, the device requires one HDMI cable, which is sold separately.
