TWA Flight 800 Documentary: Government Lies About Killing Of 230 In Flight To Paris, Whistleblowers Say [VIDEO]

A documentary about the TWA Flight 800 explosion in 1996 that killed 230 passengers reveals that the National Transportation Safety Board, a government agency, lied about the cause of the blast.

TWA Flight 800 mysteriously burst into flames just 11 minutes after leaving John F. Kennedy Airport in New York City en route to Paris - no one has been able to explain the incident.

Although the National Transportation Safety Board concluded that the likely cause of the crash was an accidental fuel tank explosion, the documentary refutes the four-year-long investigation, saying the information reported was falsified and that the investigation was "systematically undermined" by federal authorities, ABC News reports.

The National Transportation Safety Board told media that "of the sources evaluated by the investigation, the most likely was a short circuit outside of the [fuel tank] that allowed excessive voltage to enter it through electrical wiring..."

But the TWA Flight 800 documentary says otherwise.

Watch a video of the report here:

"We didn't find any part of the airplane that indicated a mechanical failure," said one of the investigation whistleblowers in the film's trailer.

Speculation over the explosion of TWA Flight 800 has produced mixed reactions from many Americans - some say a bomb, meteorite or missile struck the side of the plant while others abide by the National Transportation Safety Board's explanation.

The documentary, named TWA Flight 800, will premier on Epix in July. Six former members of the official crash investigation have stepped forward to refute the National Transportation Safety Board's findings, ABC News also reports.
