Amanda Seyfriend in Porn Star Bio Lovelace [VIDEO] “Riskiest Thing in Hollywood” Could Have "Ruined Her Career", Challenged Her Acting Skills
Amanda Seyfried Lovelace release is coming August 9, 2013. Lovelace has already premiered at film festivals such as Sundance. Amanda Seyfriend reveals in a new interview the challenges of playing a famous porn star in the film Lovelace.
Amanda Seyfriend, who plays "Deep Throat" porn star Linda Lovelace in the upcoming film, left behind her "nice girl" image by taking on the dark role.
Amanda Seyfriend described when she read the script for Lovelace: "I read the script and I was like, 'Wow, this is the riskiest thing that's happening [in Hollywood] right now."

"The first thing you think about is that it could have ruined my career. At the same time, I was like, 'This is my chance to show them, to show the industry, to be recognized.' "
The film is directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman. It premiered at the Sundance Film Festival early this year to positive reviews.
Seyfried admitted to growing very attached to the character of Linda Lovelace.
"I had a hard time letting go of Linda at the end of the movie," Seyfried told the Associated Press about her racy role. "I had a really intense time with Peter Sarsgaard [who plays her coercive husband, Chuck Traynor]. I think we both had a hard time letting go because we went to these places.
"He played a man who consistently beat his wife. And I played a woman who was raped and abused, psychologically and physically. I was constantly taking my clothes off. I didn't have an issue with that. She had an issue with that. So it was a lot. And the only thing that helped was getting onto 'Les Miz.' "
The young star, who played Cosette in the Oscar-winning musical Les Miserables, is already gaining recognition for her latest role. It shows she can play a range of characters, from innocent to sexually aware.
"Everybody I've dated I've been sexually attracted to immediately. Sparks don't grow - your vagina doesn't become more inclined to wanting someone just because you're around them."
Elle mag's cover headline highlights this quote from the star: "Sex motivates everything. It's what people want to explore." Inside the magazine, Seyfried graces the glossy pages in looks from Givenchy by Riccardo Tischi, Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane, Simone Rocha and Burberry Prorsum and Dolce & Gabbana.
Seyfried also talked about her "Mamma Mia" costar and ex Dominic Cooper. She dated him on and off for about three years before they parted ways in 2010. She said that she got her "heart broken pretty hard" when she heard allegations that Cooper had been seeing someone else.
Amanda Seyfriend said: "I was just kind of foolishly thinking that the two of them were done, and Dom and I were involved."
But now she is more circumspect.
Seyfriend said: "We love each other. ... He'll always be in my life regardless of what his girlfriends or future wife think. I'm never going to be with a guy that can't deal with my friendship with him."
