ESPN Nude Body Issue 2013 [VIDEO]: 77-Year-Old Gary Player Poses Naked To Change America's 'Tsunami of Obesity'

In the traditional ESPN Body Issue, the 2013 photos hold a rather unusual photo set featuring 77-year-old golfer Gary Player, where he display his physique in naked photos to promote obesity awareness.

"America is maybe the most unhealthy nation in the world because they live on crap. They've got the best food in the world, the best farmers and the best food but they live on crap," says the South Africa native according to Bleacher Report.

"When [British chef] Jamie Oliver went to America he went to areas where children never had cabbage or broccoli or spinach or vegetables in their life. People give their children a soft drink and a doughnut to go to school. No wonder academically they're affected."

In part, this is why Player dared to grace the ESPN Body Issue 2013 at 77 years old, to show the longevity of one's health.

"It frustrates me because I happen to have 15 American grandchildren. I love America but I get so upset at the way I see the obesity. I just don't see how the healthcare system can work. I pray it does but I just don't see how it can work with this tsunami of obesity."

At 77, Player is the oldest athlete to grace the ESPN Body Issue, and holds nine Grand Slam wins as well as the nickname Mr. Fitness for his time in the gym.

Also joining player in the ESPN Body Issue 2013 are recent mother Kerri Walsh Jennings, football player Colin Kaepernick, NBA star John Wall, snowboarder Elena Hight, and boxer Marlen Esparza.
