Nexus 7.2 Tablet Release Date Rumors, Specs: New Tablet By Asus Will Be Launched This Month, Features Include 7-Inch Display, 32 GB Memory

A new set of Nexus 7.2 tablet release date rumors is pointing to the hot summer month of July as the possible time when the highly anticipated iteration of Google’s device will come out. Asus is expected to manufacture the tablet, which many have recognized as the K009, whose images and FCC filing have been leaked.

According to the US Daily Voice, a report from Asus’s home country of Taiwan suggests that the rumored Google Nexus 7.2 will be launched later this month. There are no specific launch dates and the rep has clarified that the rumored release date is an “announcement” date and not the exact time when the device will be available to consumers.

In previous announcements, however, Google doesn’t wait too long to release a device once it’s been publicly announced or launched.

The rumored specifications of the upcoming Nexus 7.2 is a 7-inch display, 32 GB of internal memory as one of the storage options, a 3,950 mAh battery, a 5-megapixel rear camera and support for 4G LTE on higher-end versions, reported the US Daily Voice.

Taiwan’s Economic Daily claimed that the Nexus 7.2 that will be launched this month would have a higher price point of $299. If the pricing rumors ends up to be true, this would mean that the latest Nexus tablet will be closer in price to the iPad mini/iPad mini 2, which costs $330 for the base version with 16GB internal memory and Wi-Fi only support.

The pricing rumors, however, said the US Daily Voice shouldn’t come across as a surprise. The upgraded specifications such as Full HD display resolution makes the Nexus 7.2 $20-30 more expensive than its predecessor base on earlier reports.
