Legend Of Korra Season 2: Meet Korra's Family

After Book 1: Air, "The Legend of Korra" season 2 promises to go more in-depth into Korra's life, particularly with the members of her rather unique family. Here are a few new faces to grace Book 2: Spirits.

Probably the most recognizable and discussed members of Korra's family are her twin cousins and waterbenders Desna and Eska. They are described as "androgynous, creepy twins."

As recently announced, Eska will be voiced by Aubrey Plaza ("Parks and Recreation") and Desna will be voiced by Aaron Himelstein. According to the San Diego Comic-Con panel from last year, the twins not only fight cooperatively, they look down on Korra and the Southern Water Tribe.

Rumors are flying that Desna and Eska will be new antagonists for Korra, or at the very least their powerful dual-waterbending will be put to good use somehow.

Eska and Desna's father is Unalaq, Korra's uncle and chief of the Northern Water Tribe. Voiced by Adrian LaTourelle ("Sons of Anarchy"), Unalaq will reportedly become Korra's spiritual mentor, due to his affinity to the Spirit World.

Unalaq is believed to have some tension with his brother, Tonraq.

Tonraq and Senna are Korra's parents, and we've already caught glimpses of these two characters in "Legend of Korra" Book One: Air. However, Tonraq will have a much bigger role in Book Two: Spirits compared to Book One, as he has both been re-designed and recast with voice actor James Remar ("Dexter").

With so many characters in play that is related to Korra, "Legend of Korra" season 2 seems to promise much more background on the Water Tribe and Spirit World.

But who will aid Korra, and who will stand in her way?
