Lady Gaga ‘ARTPOP’ Album Post Hip Surgery: Release Date Nov. 11, Single Will Drop Aug. 19; ‘Poker Face’ Singer Grabs Attention Wearing Bra In NYC

Lady Gaga announced the release date for her new album "ARTPOP" after recovering from hip surgery, which caused her to cancel her tour this year. Lady Gaga was spotted for the first time in a while, wearing nothing more than a bra and skirt in New York City.

Before the November 11 release date of "ARTPOP," a single will drop on August 19, Billboard reports. Pre-orders for the album will begin September 1, according to the statement published today on Gaga's Facebook page.

Gaga's statement explains what fans can expect from the new album: "a 'rage' of electronic passion and fury defining each artistic process from beginning to end. ARTPOP could mean anything."

The statement also describes the app that will accompany the album: "The app itself is a musical and visual engineering system that combines music, art, fashion and technology with a new interactive worldwide community - 'the auras.' Altering the human experience with social media, we bring ARTculture into POP in a reverse Warholian expedition."

Users of the app, according to Gaga, will be able to experience the "adrenaline of fame." 

Gaga will host an exhibit called "artRave" on November 10, which will feature the collaborators of "ARTPOP," including controversial artist Jeff Koons.

Lady Gaga has recently recovered from an injured hip, which required her to prematurely cancel her "Born This Way Ball" tour early this year as she recovered from surgery. Twenty-two shows were cancelled, and her camp had to refund about 200,000 tickets, worth approximately $25 million in gross ticket sales, Billboard estimated.

According to The Sun, Lady Gaga will have her first public performance this September for the iTunes Festival at Camden Roundhouse in London. The Haus of Gaga team is believed to have a budget of $759,000 for the production, Billboard reports.

The 27-year-old pop star was spotted for the first time in public in a while, wearing nothing but a lacy black bra, a tight miniskirt, sky-high platform heels and cat-eye shades. She has also dyed her hair a soft auburn color, ditching her infamous platinum blonde locks, and flaunted her tiny figure in the streets of New York City, E! Online reports.
