American Idol Live 2013: Candice Glover Lost 30 Lbs, Finale Champ Says Weight Loss Came From New Busy Celebrity Lifestyle

The American Idol Live 2013 concert will begin their summer tour soon and the past season’s champion, Candice Glover have gained a new celebrity lifestyle but lost something, too – 30 lbs of weight.

“Over the course of the show, from January to May, I probably dropped 20 lbs. And I’ve lost about 10 more since the finale,” the season champion told PEOPLE Magazine Thursday while rehearsing for the American Idol Live 2013 tour.

“It’s always good to be healthy, so I am happy about it,” added Candice.

The new celebrity singer said that her weight loss came from a very hectic schedule and not necessarily from a gym regimen. It was mainly a byproduct of her busy lifestyle as she rehearses for the tour and prepares her debut album, which will be released on October 8.

"I've always – well maybe I haven't always – been comfortable with who I am. This weight is just dropping off because of my crazy schedule," the American Idol champ said.

"I just walk a lot in the airports, and then we are rehearsing the choreography. I call [the rehearsal room] the gym, to be honest."

While the season 12 winner said she’s not actively losing weight, according to PEOPLE, one of her fellow Idols is working extra hard to maker sure he’s ready and fit before the tour launches on July 19.

Burnell Taylor lost initially 40 lbs in a month after his first audition but said that he’s determined to lose more.

“When I went back home [after being eliminated], I wanted to lose more weight so I had some wiggle room just in case to go crazy with the food,” the American Idol finalist told PEOPLE.

The contestant said that he was able to lose the weight without a trainer and only a treadmill.

“I look at old pictures of myself and try and stop myself from crying because it’s just amazing,” Burnell said, describing his weight loss experience.

“After the tour, I want to get a six-pack because I have wanted that since I was fat. I want that to be how I am for the rest of my life.”
