Eminem New Album 2013 Release Date Still Secret, But Slim Shady Popping Up All Over; On Skylar Grey and Big Sean's New Records

Eminem's new album 2013 release date is still being kept under wraps, but Slim Shady is casting a big shadow on new releases. Eminem did a duo with the rapper Big Sean on his upcoming "Hall of Fame" album that will hit shelves on Aug. 27. Eminem also pulled an assist on the first solo album for pop singer Skylar Grey, who co-wrote Eminem’s song “Love the Way You Lie.” Eminem also appears in the documentrary “How to Make Money Selling Drugs” where he talks candidly about how prescription pills almost killed pulled the shades down forever.

Eminem’s new album 2013 release date isn’t until the fall, his manager said. But Eminem is keeping himself busy. Besides planning a mini-tour of Europe he collaborated on the new Big Sean record. Big Sean, who is from the same neighborhood as Slim Shady said he enjoyed working on the record with Eminem.

Big Sean said "There's gonna be a Big Sean-Eminem song. I don't know if it's gonna be on my album, it might be for something that we got planned later on. He's a true OG. I don't know if there's any misconceptions about Eminem, but that dude's real polite, real nice. I ended up playing my whole album, front-to-back, straight through, and he said, 'I haven't been this impressed in so long with someone's album, I knew you could rap,' he was like, 'you're really going to do something big with this.' So that was just an honor, coming from the D, that was the person that showed us that it was real, showed us you can be the biggest in the world from where we from.”

Skylar Grey co-wrote Eminem's Grammy-nominated smash hit single "Love the Way You Lie." The song was about an abusive relationship. It’s had over 575 million YouTube views. Skyler Grey got five Grammy nominations and collaborated with such huge stars as Sean "Diddy" Combs, will.i.am and Lupe Fiasco. Eminem was the executive producer of her first solo album "Don't Look Down," which came out last week on Interscope Records. She come a long way since singing about sweets and treats as a kid.

Skylar Grey said "I was writing about green popsicles, and I was 3 years old. I played with my mom and it was very sweet and I loved being on the stage, performing and making music. That's when I knew I would make a career out of it." A psychic changed her life, "She told me there's going to be an opportunity to go to L.A., and you should definitely go. I couldn't afford rent or food. I couldn't afford the laundromat, so I washed my clothes in the bathtub. I tried getting a couple of jobs. I got a job editing porn because it was good money, but it got to be really unhealthy as you can imagine."

After a trip to New York, she shopped around the song “Love the Way You Lie.” Da Kid loved the hook and sent it to Eminem who put it on “Recovery" album which came out in June 2010, The song got nominated for two Grammys, including song of the year. Rihanna sang it, Eminem rapped it. Grey appeared at Lollapalooza as part of Eminem's headlining set.

Grey said "I hit a point halfway through my album where making the music wasn't fun anymore. Luckily, I talked with (Interscope co-founder and chairman) Jimmy Iovine, and he agreed I should slow down and take my time.... At this point, I really felt like I needed a fresh set of ears — this is when Eminem came on board to executive produce the album. He had a lot of good feedback and helped me to believe in myself again."
