ISS Astronaut Shows How To Wash Your Hair From Space In Viral YouTube Video: Karen Nyberg Steps Into Chris Hayfield's Shoes [WATCH]

Ever been curious about how to wash your hair from space? Well, a new video posted from an astronaut on the International Space Station (ISS) shows how (scroll down for video).

Chris Hadfield may be gone, but Karen Nyberg is carrying on the fun by showing how to wash one's hair in space.

Astronaut Chris Hadfield is known for his intergalactic antics and fascinating videos, includinf a cover of Bowie's Space Oddity--but he's back on Earth...so Karen Nyberg decided to step up to the plate with video of her own.

The video of Nyberg washing her hair in space has gone viral on YouTube, clicking in at over a million hits.

The video shows Nyberg beginning the process by squeezing water from a bag. Droplets float everywhere-it's a difficult proposition at zero gravity.

Nyberg then catches as much water as she can, rubs it in, and adds no-rinse shampoo. Then she massages her scalp with a towel.

"Without standing under running water, you need to use the towel a little bit to help get some of the dirt out," Nyberg explains.

After that, she adds a bit more water to rinse it out then uses the towel again to dry off a bit.

"As the water evaporates from my hair, it'll become humidity in the air," she says. "Then our air-conditioning system will collect it into condensate, and our water processing system will turn it into drinking water."

The video has gone viral. See it below:
