In total, 36 pre-existing Pokemon have been used in gameplay footage, game trailers, and movie trailers. When you include their evolutions, the number of pre-existing Pokemon expected to grace the Kalos Pokedex goes up to 66, and counting.

So, when Pokemon fans add the 26 new Pokemon, plus the 66 from previous generations, we have actually seen 92 Pokemon of the new Pokedex.

Given that backwards compatibility is still a concern for Pokemon X and Y, it's possible a huge surplus of pre-existing Pokemon will be included in this Pokedex.

On the other hand, these steady reveals could also mean that Pokemon X and Y is expected to have all previous Pokemon available at some point, and the Kalos Pokedex is still up in the air.

Stay tuned for more updates.
