Grand Theft Auto 5 Release Date Kills Hopes For F1 2013? Racing Game Designer Says November Is A Really Busy WIndow, Citing September 17 GTA 5 Sale Date

Codemasters, the company that produced the Formula 1 2013 racing game, says November will be a "really busy window" to release their game because Grand Theft Auto 5 and FIFA 2014 will be released within the same month, according to Video Gamer.

But F1 2013's designer Greg Prysmachuk also said the game will be able to "hold its own" against Grant Theft Auto 5, Video Gamer also reports.

"Obviously we're coming out in a really busy window. There's FIFA, there's GTA 5... I don't think that's going to have too much impact on the fact that we have a really strong core fan base," he said.

"We've got a very unique title that nobody else produces, or [that they can] do. Obviously Grand Theft Auto is going to impact everybody, isn't it? There's nothing that game's not going to have an impact on, but I think F1's still going to hold its own, definitely."

But not everyone believes Grand Theft Auto 5 will be as successful as many say it will be.

Pachter, an electronics analyst for Wedbush Securities, does not agree with the idea that Grand Theft Auto 5 could negatively impact the initial performance of next-generation platforms, according to Examiner.

The well-recognized game analyst also mentioned that the release of the PS4 and the Xbox One could actually hurt the initial sales for Grant Theft Auto 5, Examiner also reports, leaving some gamers wondering if the game will be as popular as it is being heralded.

Rockstar Games is also eying the launch of next-generation console Playstation 4 for the release date of Grand Theft Auto 5, according to The News Tribe, which could be as soon as the rumored November 13 release date of the PS4.

Media Markt and Bol.com, two retailers based in Europe, claim the Playstation 4 will be launched on November 13, two weeks before Microsoft is expected to release its Xbox One console, the States Chronicles reports.
