iPhone 5S Release Date Delayed To Increase Screen Size From 4 to 4.3 Inches; Next-Gen Apple Phone Coming November or December?

Another iPhone 5S release date rumor has swirled in online as there are claims that Apple has decided to delay the release of its next-gen iOS mobile phone to switch to a larger screen size.

CNET, citing BrighWire news, posted that the iPhone 5s release date will be pushed back at the end of the year to give enough time to change the design to a bigger screen size. Reportedly, this new iPhone 5S release date rumor originated from the sources working for the suppliers.

The news indicated that the iPhone 5S screen will be up from 4 inches to 4.3 inches. BrightWire shared, "[Apple] halted processor production for [the] iPhone 5S in May. The initial design for the iPhone 5S had a 4-inch screen only.

The initial iPhone 5S release date was supposed to be at some point between September and October, but according to rumors, it has been pushed back at the end of the year.

However, the low-cost iPhone, unofficially dubbed as the iPhone 6 or the iPhone Light is expected to arrive this coming October already. The shipment for the chips to be used in the production of the new model has already started last month, according to a report from Bloomberg. Unlik the iPhone 5S, the design for the budget Apple phone was not changed.

The CNET noted the possible reason for Apple's decision to switch the screen size of the iPhone 5S from 4 inches to 4.3 inches. The report stated, "Large-screen phones with displays bigger than 4 inches are catching on fast. It's possible that Apple believes it needs to respond to market demands more quickly."

Apple has not made comments yet regarding this recent iPhone 5s release date rumor.
