Eminem New Album 2013 Still in Progress; Will It Come Out in 2014?

Eminem’s new album is still in progress. There were rumors that Eminem’s new album, the sequel to “Recover” was supposed to be released on Memorial Day when that date passed the rumors started circulating that it would come out on July 3rd. Now that both dates have passed the rumors were going around that it would be ready to drop sometime in the fall. But Big Sean recently told MTV News UK that slim Shady is still busy in the recording studio. Which begs the question: Will Eminem’s new album be released in 2013 or will we have to wait until next year?

Big Sean talked to MTV News UK about the Eminem’s new album. He confirmed that he worked with Eminem on a collaboration, but he also revealed other details about Eminem’s new album. It might not be anywhere near finished yet.

Big Sean hasn’t he’d heard Eminem’s new album yet, he said "I'll just say no… I know he's working on it though, working hard too. We were trying to make the collab work for my album but due to timing issues it's probably not going to work out. You'll get a collab though, just probably won't be for [Big Sean’s album] Hall of Fame.”

But Big Sean didn’t say if the new song with Eminem will be on be on Eminem’s album or Big Sean’s. He said "It was just really cool. He is somebody who gave me a lot of insight, we shared a lot of stories. Before we even talked about music or was working on music, we exchanged stories and then we were in the studio and I was like, 'I got my album with me' and he was like 'Ok, I'll hear a couple of songs - I'm in a hurry'. So, I played it and was like, 'If it's whack tell me to cut it off'' but I ended up playing my whole album back and he said he'd never been so surprised. He [Eminem] said 'I knew you could rap, but the album is real good'. It was just a great day."

The comedian and actor Chris Rock came on board for Eminem’s new album. Chris Rock tweeted a picture back in May that had the caption, "in the studio with Em don't sleep." Eminem also brought Big Sean into the studio for a collaboration. Big Sean put a picture of himself in the studio with Eminem on Instagram in April. Big Sean told MTV News in June, "You might get it from my album, you may get it from his album, you may get it a little later. We've got to work all that out." Big Sean promised that the song would be a "Detroit classic."

Eminem also appears in the documentrary “How to Make Money Selling Drugs” where he talks candidly about how prescription pills almost killed pulled the shades down forever.

Eminem’s DJ, Alchemist, promised MTV that Slim Shady fans won’t be disappointed because of Eminem’s “caliber and what he does.” He said the album is "clearly going to further territories."
