American Horror Story Earns 17 Emmy Nominations: Season 3 Begins Wardrobe Fittings As Ryan Murphy Deals With Glee Tragedy

"American Horror Story" tops the field for Emmy nominations, earning a massive 17 nominations and beating out "House of Cards," "Game of Thrones," and "Saturday Night Live."

"American Horror Story" stars such as Jessica Lange, James Cromwell, Zachary Quinto, and Sarah Paulson, all received acting nominations, although the actors may be too busy for celebration right now.

Currently, "American Horror Story: Coven" is gearing up for filming in time for the premiere of season 3 in October. Season 3 will include both Lange and Paulson, in addition to Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, Francis Conroy, and Taissa Farmiga.

Sadly, "American Horror Story" and "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy may be knee-deep in recovery and planning for the musical comedy due to the recent passing of Cory Monteith. Celebration may be the last thing on his mind right now.

And while "Glee" may be pushed back in terms of shooting, "American Horror Story" is ready to begin filming in New Orleans, with recent casting calls on-location and wardrobe fittings for the star-studded cast.

With a recent stumble with the law, hopefully season 3 cast members and real-life couple Evan Peters and Emma Roberts will be able to set aside their differences to make shooting a smooth experience.

"American Horror Story: Coven" is set to premiere on FX this October.
