Miley Cyrus ‘We Can’t Stop’ Video: ‘I Wanted To Make People Laugh,’ She Says; After Haircut, Doesn’t Mind Being Called A Lesbian

Miley Cyrus revealed more about her "We Can't Stop" music video and her haircut and makeover in a recent interview. Miley Cyrus also addressed comments that she looked like "a lesbian" after her style transformation.

Miley, 20, told The Toronto Sun that she didn't want fans to take her and the "We Can't Stop" music video too seriously. In the interview, she shows the extent of her confidence and the maturity behind her transformation.

"So I wanted my video to make people laugh 'cause I'm the first one to make jokes at myself ... I wanted the video to be that kind of confident," she said.

Miley also talked about her haircut, which she said completely changed her image. She also discussed her response to critics calling her a "lesbian" after she altered her hairstyle.

"I just cut my hair and then it really changed my life. There's something about having no hair that screams being confident. And I think especially because people like to put people in a box - I mean, the names I've been called since I cut my hair. Everyone said I was a lesbian but I'm like, 'Being a lesbian isn't a bad thing,'" she said.

She continued: "So if you think I look like I'm a lesbian, I'm not offended. You can call me much worse. I've been called much worse. Being a lesbian is a compliment more than what else they call me."

Miley has a reason to be confident with her style change. She was on the cover of Maxim magazine, which gave the No. 1 spot on their annual hot list, HollywoodLife.com reports.

In the interview, the young pop star recognized that she was speeding to success in her career at the moment.

"They're like, 'It really feels like you can't stop,'" she said. "What is making my [new] record consistent is the fact that [the songs are] all different and that's where I am. I'm at a point where it's like I know who I am, but I know that I'm not finished figuring that out and I won't finished until I'm in the dirt."

Miley and her fiancé, "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" star Liam Hemsworth, seem to be doing well too. Miley was wearing her engagement ring during the interview, The Huffington Post reports.
