Official Android 4.2.2 Update for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Cancelled; Skipping To Android 4.3 Jelly Bean?

Samsung cancelled official Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy Note 2, reports are claiming.

According to Gotta Be Mobile, the official Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has been withdrawn by the South-Korea based smart phone manufacturer. This news is according to Telstra, an Australian carrier which relayed the information yesterday, July 18, to owners of Galaxy Note 2.

This is actually not a big surprise anymore as earlier rumors claimed that Samsung Galaxy Note 2 alongside the Galaxy S3 will not receive the official Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update anymore, and instead be directly receiving the highly anticipated Android 4.3 update.

If the rumors are true that Samsung Galaxy Note 2 an Galaxy S3 will jump straight to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update, then, it is safe to expect that owners of these devices may feel unhappy about this decision from Samsung. Even if the official Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update is considered a minor one, there are users of Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and S3 who thinks that it is a very important update, especially since most of the benefits provided in the 4.2 update include improvements of the phone's user interface.

According to Pop Herald, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean makes moving from home screens to switching between apps seems effortless, "like turning the pages of a book." Furthermore, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update "improves performance throughout the system, including faster orientation changes, quicker switching between recent apps, and smoother and more consistent rendering across the system through vsync and triple buffering."

And last but not the least, the minor update from Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean provides "more reactive and uniform touch response."
