Eminem New Album 2013 Release Date Still a Mystery: Will Give a Taste of New Music In NYC
Eminem’s new album for 2013 is still being recorded, but Slim Shady will perform some new music at a G-Shock Party in New York City. Eminem fans are waiting for details about his new album. It was supposed to sometime this year but two rumored dates have come and go, Memorial Day and July 2. Big Sean recently said that Eminem is still recording and Eminem’s hype man said, don’t rush art.
While Eminem’s supporters are hoping that some new sounds will come out some time this fall, it looks like he might perform some of his new tracks at a live event he’ll be performing in New York City on Aug. 7. There are rumors that the Grammy Award-winning rapper will give a taste of his new sounds at the upcoming G-Shock 30th Anniversary Party next month. The digital watch company is celebrating its milestone anniversary in a top secret location and Eminem knows what time it is.
Inside sources have revealed that Eminem might give a tease of the album before it drops. The source said "He has a lot of dope tracks, but great music takes time. Fans need to be patient... it'll be worth the wait."
Eminem hasn’t confirmed a release date for the new album, but he’s been in the studio with artists like Big Sean, Chris Rock and Kendrick Lamar. He also was executive producer on Skylar Grey’s debut solo album "Don't Look Down," which came out last week on Interscope Records. Skylar Gray co-wrote “Love the Way you Lie” with Eminem, nabbing a bunch of Grammy nominations.
Shady president, Paul Rosenberg, hinted earlier this year that Eminem’s new album may be released after the European tour. He told Billboard, “We fully expect to be releasing a new Eminem album in 2013. He's been working on it for some time. It's safe to say that it will be post-Memorial Day at some point, but we're not exactly sure when. We've got some dates locked in for him to perform live in Europe in August, so we're trying to see what else lines up."
Eminem's will perform along with Kendrick Lamar and Tyler, The Creator when does a mini-tour in Europe. The tour kicks off on Aug. 15.
