Legend Of Korra [TRAILER]: Season 2 Release Date, Synopsis, And Premiere Episode Impressions

With "The Legend of Korra" gracing Comic-Con this weekend, here is a roundup of all the information unveiled in regards to season 2, titled Book 2: Spirits.

Release Date

The thing fans have been clamoring for since June of last year is finally here. Well, almost.

The release date for season 2 will be September, although an exact date has not been announced. Book 2: Spirits will contain 14 episodes, starting with the season premiere titled "Rebel Spirit."

Synopsis

Along with all the Comic-Con merchandise is a limited edition print made by supervising producer Lauren Montgomery. Are those Pokemon or spirits?

In any case, in the back of the print is also a synopsis of "The Legend of Korra" season 2, which goes as follows:

"Korra has become a fully realized Avatar with all the power that the role entails. But even the strongest of Avatars can fall and Korra discovers she has much to learn when she steps into the realm of Spirits - a mysterious world that is both beautiful and dangerous. in the Spirit World, Korra soon learns that the Light cannot exist without the Dark and the in the cycle of creation and destruction, only she can restore balance to the world."

Season Premiere Impressions

Comic-Con goers lucky enough to attend "The Legend of Korra" panel got to watch the season 2 premiere episode, and so far, impressions have been very positive.

"It was awesome. We got to see all the characters coming back," lauds IGN contributor Max Nicholson. "It seems like there's going to be a lot more exploration this year outside of Republic City."

"But overall, lots of action, lots of humor. I think it's going to be a really good season."
