Chris Brown Abandons Rihanna And Karrueche Tran For Single Life: New Song Alludes To Past Flame, 'I Just Choose To Be Single!'

Despite the intense media scrutiny placed on Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran after his split from Rihanna, the singer is claiming to be single and focused on his music.

"[Fans have] seen me on and off again with different girls, you know who they are, but right now, as a 24-year-old man, I just choose to be single!" says the "Fine China" singer to HollywoodLife.

"[Now] it's just me being focused with my music and doing this stuff. Right now, I'm in my prime."

Yet despite Brown's allegiance to the single life, his music still seems to be allude to either Tran or Rihanna, especially the latest snippet of a new love song.

Regardless, Chris Brown swears to be on good terms with both Rihanna and Karrueche Tran.

"But people have differences and people have different wants and needs. And at the end of the day, she's a young girl. I can't really be focused on wife-ing somebody that young. At the end of the day. And I'm young too."

"So I can't focus on that right now. I just need to fast forward and be a man and be the best Chris Brown I can be, instead of worrying about whoever else is going to be in my side pocket."

But given his recent run-ins with the law, is he really being his best self?
