Samsung Galaxy S5 Release Date: Korean Tech Giant Having Supply Problems With New Flagships's ISOCELL Cameras, Shipments To Go Way Below Expectations

Samsung Galaxy S5 release date: The Korean tech manufacturer has recently unveiled its current flagship several weeks ago, and in spite its disappointing design, it still packs impressive specs and features.

However, consumers who are planning to buy the device may want to hurry up and pre-order from carriers or retailers. That's because reports show that the Android-running flagship may experience shipment cuts due to supply problems.

According to a report by GSM Arena, reports from the company's homeland claim that Samsung is having problems manufacturing the 16MP ISOCELL camera of the Galaxy S5.

In addition, there are also problems in coating the lens module of the device, and while Samsung has been enable to make progress, the issues have greatly affected efficiency in production.

As a result, reports say that the Samsung Galaxy S5 may only have 4-5 million units available across more than 200 markets when it gets launched in April.

That's more than 2 million lower than the initial target shipments from 5-7 million.

Still, there are speculations that the lowered shipments due to 'camera production issues' is just a cover up for the lack of demand for the device.

We'll get you more details and developments about this issue in the coming days.
