Trace Adkins, "Songs About Me" singer, is not having a good year. After Trace Adkins' rehab facility stay, the country singer came home to find Trace Adkins' wife had filed for divorce. Still, it's better than the Trace Adkins Julie Adkins separation which culminated dramatically while Trace was on Celebrity Apprentice. Julie Adkins shot Adkins in the chest.

Two weeks ago, Trace Adkins made his first public appearance on the Grand Ole Opry after spending time in a Florida rehab facility for an alcohol rehabilitation program. This week, Trace Adkins wife Rhonda Adkins filed divorce papers in Williamson County, Tennessee, on Tuesday, citing "irreconcilable differences."

Rhonda is Trace Adkins' third wife. Trace Adkins and Julie Adkins share two adult daughters.

The Trace Adkins Julie Adkins divorce was colorful. Julie shot Trace in the chest during a domestic dispute.

Trace and Rhonda Adkins were married in 1997. The couple have three daughters (aged 16, 12, and 9).  Rhonda Adkins wants alimony, child support and primary residential custody. Trace Adkins voluntarily entered rehab in Florida rehab to treat alcohol-addiction after Trace got drunk and got into an altercation with an impersonator at a Karaoke bar on a cruise ship.

The "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" crooner, 52, was headlining a seven-day country cruise.

Before the fight, Adkins took to Twitter to say "Up here in my suite, overlooking the pools. Behave yourselves."

Trace Adkins' Twitter account has been silent ever since.

Adkins left rehab in February to be with his ailing father Aaron in Louisiana for his final days. Trace Adkins returned to rehab after his father died.

On March 11, Adkins made a surprise appearance at the Grand Ole Opry. Trace hit the stage with the group Exile to bang out a raucous version of the song "Kiss You All Over." Trace covered the 1978 Exile hit on his 2013 album "Love Will."

Sonny LeMaire, the bassist for Exile who helped set up the gig, said Adkins "looked like a million bucks. He has lost weight. He's toned up. He was smiling. Trace Adkins was smiling and grinning from ear to ear. He said he feels great. It was good."

Trace Adkins went off on an impersonator during karaoke on a cruise. The incident knocked Trace off the wagon and he checked himself into rehab. Trace Adkins is a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Before he became country music star in the nineties, Adkins as a pipe-fitter on an offshore drilling rig. He was a finalist on Donald Trump's NBC reality series Celebrity Apprentice in 2008. Adkins won the All-Star version of the show in 2013. Trace Adkins has sold 10 million albums. He was nominated for a Grammy and co-hosted the American Country Awards with NASCAR driver Danica Patrick on Fox. Adkins played a biker in the movie "The Lincoln Lawyer" with Matthew McConaughey in 2011. His 2007 autobiography was called "A Personal Stand: Observations and Opinions from a Freethinking Roughneck."
