Nicola Peltz, Transformers Star, Breaks Out in New Coming of Age Film; FilmBuff Acquires Nicola Peltz’s Affluenza

Nicola Peltz, "Transformers" actress, will be transforming her image in her next film.

Jack Reynor and Nicola Peltz stepped out for the 2014 CinemaCon Opening Night held at Caesars Palace Resort and Casino on Monday night in Las Vegas. Nicola Peltz is about to have a very good year.

FilmBuff has picked up the coming of age film "Affluenza," starring Nicola Peltz. The new movie has been slotted for a July 11 theatrical and on demand release date.

Nicola Peltz will star in the drama alongside Steve Guttenberg, Samantha Mathis, and features rising stars Ben Rosenfield from "Boardwalk Empire", Gregg Sulkin from "Pretty Little Liars" and Grant Gustin from "The Flash." "Affluenza" is loosely based on the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel, "The Great Gatsby." Affluenza is set during the summer of 2008 amid the looming financial crisis

The screenplay Affluenza was written by Antonio Macia, who worked with the film's director Kevin Asch on the film "Holy Rollers," which starred Jesse Eisenberg.
Nicola Peltz, 19, is set to be the face of a summer blockbuster franchise, Affluenza also gives Nicola Peltz wider exposure.

Nicola Peltz take over her transformers role from Megan Fox. She first made a name for herself in M. Night Shyamalan's film "The Last Airbender." Peltz also had a major role in the television series "Bates Motel" and the film "The Flash."

"Affluenza" will hit theaters and VOD on July 11.

Later on in the week, Jack and Nicola will receive the Rising Stars of 2014 Award.
