Android 4.4 Kit Kat Release Date Hits LG G Flex And Brings Knock Code, Performance Improvements, Update Arrives To Sprint's HTC One Max As Well

Android 4.4 Kit Kat release date: If you have what is considered as the world's best designed smartphone according to Red Dot, then you may want to rejoice even further as LG's curved smartphone officially jumps over the Kitkat hedge.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Android 4.4 Kitkat update for LG G Flex can finally be downloaded via OTA. While the update is certainly a few weeks earlier than expected, no one would definitely complain about the prompt release of the update.

In the report, the G Flex will get Knock Code feature, improvements to the Bluetooth-Car Kit, several bug fixes, and overall system improvement. The update also enables notifications to show up even when playing music.

In case you need a refresher, the LG G Flex packs some decent specs for a high-end device, save the 720p resolution.

Other specs include a quad-core CPU, Snapdragon 800 chipset, 2GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, a 13MP camera at the back, and an SD card slot.

Of course, we should not forget about the cool features brought about by the phone's curved design, as well as the self-healing back cover.

Have you already upgraded to Kitkat? So what do you think about your G Flex now?
