Upcoming Android Phones 2014: Exec States That 90 Percent Of The OnePlus One Smartphone Is What Consumers Want, Boasts High-End Specs Under $400

Upcoming Android phones 2014: For the past couple of years, we have seen the tremendous growth of the mobile industry, and as time goes by, OEMs continue to slug it out in terms of specs.

However, most people are unaware that there are manufacturers who spend more money in marketing than the actual production of the device?

In a report by BGR, OnePlus executive Steve Kondik says in a Google+ post that the OnePlus One smartphone will focus on the needs of its consumers.

"Most hardware vendors have lost sight of the user piece," says Kondik "Money is spent piling in new specs, features, and silly ads but it seems like no one takes that step back to say 'is this useful for the people buying it?'"

Is this you Samsung?

In addition, Kondik says that the OnePlus team understands what people actually need in a smartphone. He even mentions that the upcoming smartphone is certainly among the top in terms of quality.

"The build quality and design of the devices we have been working with are what you would expect from a premium phone. A top of the line phone with 90% of what most people want in a phone for a reasonable price, this should be the model OEMs follow. I'm glad to say that we are involved in that revolution."

We would like to agree to some of Kondik's points, and we sure hope it would be able to deliver an uncompromising smartphone at an affordable price range.

For those who are not aware, the OnePlus One boasts a 5.5-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, a Snapdragon 801 chipset, 13MP of primary camera and an aluminum frame. The tipped price range is certainly tempting at just under $400.
