Battlefield 4 DLC And Updates: Naval Strike Expansion Now Available On Xbox One; Expansion For PC Version Delayed Until Early April; Ultimate Shortcut Bundle Priced At $50

The latest Battlefield 4 DLC is now available for Xbox One.

As posted on IGN, the Battlefield 4 DLC called Naval Strike can be accessed by the Battlefield Premium members beginning today, March 28. Accordingly, the Naval Strike DLC was originally set for release on March 25. However, it was delayed by DICE for both the PC and Xbox One editions to fix performance issues.

But unlike the Battlefield Premium members for Xbox One who can already access the Naval Strike DLC today, PC users might have to wait a bit longer first. Reportedly, the Battlefield 4 DLC will arrive early April.

According to GameSpot, this Battlefield 4 DLC features 4 new multiplayer maps, two gadgets, 5 new weapons, and a new hovercraft vehicle both which can navigate both on land and water. The report further reads, "It also adds the Carrier Assault mode, which is an homage to Battlefield 2142's fan-favorite Titan mode."

Below are the descriptions for each map available on Naval Strike DLC, as posted on Battlefield's official blog site:

Lost Islands: Blow open a crashed passenger plane and capture fishing villages across these tropical islands.
Wave Breaker: Drop a submarine on your foes as you infiltrate a naval base or rush between shipping docks and rocky islands on this massive map.
Nansha Strike: Wage war across stormy seas in the largest ocean stretch in a Battlefield map yet.
Operation Mortar: Storm an abandoned cliff-side resort, or get lost in the breathtaking vistas in this map.

As for the Xbox One version of Battlefield 4 Naval Strike DLC, all the players will be able to download it starting in two weeks. But now, everybody - Premium and non-Premium members, will get a patch for Battlefield 4. The Battlefield 4 update brings in various enhancements to the "netcode, progression system, weapons and vehicles, and other general improvements, such a "fix for soldiers getting catapulted when walking on steep surfaces," as stated on the IGN post.

Earlier this week, the Battlefield 4 patch and the Naval Strike DLC both arrived for the PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the first-person shooter game, according to Computer And Video Games.

Moreover, DICE launched this week various assortment bundles for the game. One of these is the Ultimate Shortcut Bundle, priced at $50 and it comes with every class and weapon upgrade. You can check out other "shortcut" bundles for Battlefield 4 on in-game store on PC and consoles.
