PlayStation Plus Free Games For April Include ‘Batman: Arkham City’ For PS3 Users [VIDEO]; PS4 Title ‘Mercenary Kings’ Also Arriving To Instant Game Collection

The PlayStation Plus free games for next month have been revealed.

 

Six PlayStation Plus free games are reportedly entering Sony's US Instant Game Collection on April. Particularly, there will be 3 PlayStation Plus free games for the PS3, one for the PS4 and two PS Vita titles.

One of the PS3 titles entering US Instant Game Collection next month is "Batman: Arkham City," which according to a post on Polygon is "one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2011."

The description for the game, as posted on the official PlayStation Blog reads:

No escape from Arkham City...the sprawling super-prison in the heart of Gotham City, home to its most violent thugs and infamous super villains. With the lives of the innocent at stake, only one man can save them and bring justice to the streets of Gotham City...The Batman.

The other two PlayStation Plus free games for the PS3 next month will be "Stealth Inc.: A Clone in the Dark" developed by Curve Studios and "Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse" from Sega Studios Australia.

For the PS4, PlayStation Plus members will be able to get the frantic 2D action video game "Mercenary Kings" for free this April. In this game, players will become part of the Mercenary Kings, which is the "most skilled team of warriors-for-hire on Earth."

According to Polygon, Mercenary Kings was just released this week on PC and Mac. Scheduled to be released on PS4 on April 1, the game will also be free to PS Plus members.

Meanwhile, PS Vita users that are subscribed to PS Plus will get "PixelJunk Monsters: Ultimate HD" which was ported by Double Eleven, as well as "Velocity Ultra" from FuturLab.

There is no specific schedule yet as to when each of these PlayStation Plus free games will enter the Instant Game Collection this month. But players can expect one or two PlayStation Plus free titles to arrive next Tuesday, April 1.
