Nexus 10 Release Date Further Delayed Due To 'Premium' Nexus 8.9 To Be Developed By HTC, 10" Android Slate May Be Launched As Late As November

Nexus 10 release date: Both CES and MWC have come and gone, but there is still no word about the Nexus 10 (2014) slate from Google.

In a new report, it appears Nexus 10 fans may have to wait a little bit longer.

According to IB Times, the 10-inch slate have been robbed the limelight by the rumored Nexus 8.9 tablet which would reportedly be developed by HTC.

So, instead of a launch by the middle of the year, some analysts are expecting the Nexus 10 2 to arrive in November or December, just in time to take on probably the new slates Apple would unveil at that time as well.

So what exactly are the specs of the Nexus 8 which make it premium and be considered more than the 10-inch tablet?

According to recent rumors and reports, the upcoming HTC-manufactured device would boast an 8.9-inch display with QHD or 2K (2560 x 1600) resolution, and a 64-based Intel chip instead of a Snapdragon one, and 3GB of RAM.

Previous reports also claim that with a price tag of at least $300, the upcoming Nexus 8.9 could be the most expensive Nexus tablet yet.

As for the Nexus 10 2, we certainly hope it would be worth the wait, and alleged specs such as Snapdragon 800 chipset and 8MP camera would be replaced by higher-end features.

We'll bring you more details about the Nexus 10, and Nexus 8.9 in the coming weeks.
