On Saturday, 25-year-old Twilight star Nikki Reed was seen leaving a gym in Los Angeles. The actress wore a sexy black workout top and pants. Reports say Nikki Reed looked pensive as she headed to her car. Nikki was photographed without her wedding ring.

According to reports, The "Twilight" star, Nikki Reed, and the "American Idol" alum Paul McDonald separated after two years of marriage.

In a statement from one of Nikki Reed's people, it was revealed that the couple have been living apart for six months. The statement says Reed and McDonald will continue to record their debut duet album, "I'm Not Falling," which is due to come out later this year.

The statement said "After much consideration, Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald are ending their marriage. They have been living separately for the past six months due to work obligations. They will continue to share their love of music, and are still working on their debut album, I'm Not Falling, releasing in 2014. They remain best friends and look forward to their continued journey together. They never did things for love anymore, it became a job for them to be together because it became all about work."

This isn't the first time Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald. Reed recorded with her Alabama-born husband in 2012. Their song, "All I Ever Needed" ran during the end credits of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2."

According to TMZ.com, Nikki and McDonald have been drifting apart for some time. People magazine reported that the split between Reed and her husband was amicable.

Reed and McDonald met in March 2011 at the premiere of Red Riding Hood in 2011. They were engaged within three months, exchanging rings in June. They got married in October. An insider told HollywoodLife.com "It came down to the normal marriage failures of money and career. He wasn't making money and she wasn't flourishing with her career after Twilight."
