Install Official Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update On Samsung Galaxy S4; GT-I9500 Units In Taiwan Receives ZSUDNB3 Firmware

Samsung Galaxy S4 receives new and official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.

As posted on Droid Report, the Samsung Galaxy S4 owners in Taiwan recently get an update based on the Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware, which comes with build number I9500ZSUDNB3. Particularly, the firmware is compatible with Samsung Galaxy S4 bearing the model number GT-I9500.

According to GS M Arena, Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 was released in the market April of 2013, and it originally comes with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. But currently, it can be updated to Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS, Google's latest mobile operating system.

For those who are interested to install the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update, they can do so via the Over-the-Air upgrade process. To check if an update is already available for your Samsung Galaxy S4, users can go to Settings > About Phone > Software Update.

Before installing the official Android 4.4.2 Kitkat update, there are requirements to meet first to ensure a successful installation process. First, make sure that the model number of your Samsung Galaxy S4 is GT-I9500. Visit Settings > About Phone > Model Number.

Second, the battery level of the Samsung Galaxy S4 should be 80 percent or more. This is to avoid power interruption issues during the installation.

Make sure that the appropriate USB drivers for the Samsung Galaxy S4 are installed on the PC so the Android device will successfully connect with the computer before the installation process begins.

Properly make a backup for the data and settings stored on your Samsung Galaxy S4. Custom recovery tools such as ClockWorkMod and TWRP can be used for the backup.

Do not forget to enable USB Debugging Mode on the phone by navigating to Settings > Developer Options.
