iPhone 6 Release Date: 4.7" And 5.5" Screens To Enter Mass Production In May, New Display Allegedly Packs 'In-Cell Touch Technology' To Come Up With Thinner Frame

iPhone 6 release date: Are you patiently waiting for the iPhone 6? Are you willing to miss out on the new Android phones this year just to get your hands on the new Apple smartphone?

Well, if you are that excited about the iPhone, then here are some bits for you.

According to a recent report by GSM Arena, several insiders of the supply chains of Apple claim that the iPhone 6's bigger 4.7-inch displays would begin mass production by May.

Meanwhile, the bigger 5.5-7-inch versions will reportedly be delayed by a couple of weeks, which places it on a potential mass production period around June and July.

In the report, Japan Display will be the first display supplier to begin mass production, while other suppliers LG Display and Sharp would follow suit shortly.

In the previous rumors about the iPhone 6, it would allegedly have two versions, an A8 chip that supports 64-bit applications, sapphire display, and in-cell touch technology.

This means that the touch sensors of the device would not be located under or above the glass, but inside it, which allows for a thinner frame for the upcoming Apple smartphone.
