Upcoming Android Phones 2014: Vivo Really Aims To Win Spec War, Rumored X-Zoom Tipped To Boast QHD Display, Snapdragon 801, 3GB RAM, 32GB Built-In Storage

Upcoming Android phones 2014: For the past few years, only a number of Android OEMs have been able to sell most of the platform's sales around the world. However, recently emerging brands are beginning to unleash monster phones with high-end specs, but feature an affordable price tag.

One of these is Chinese phone maker Vivo. The Chinese manufacturer has recently launched the Xplay 3S smartphone, which was the first phone to get a QHD (2560 x 1440) display.

In a new report by GSM Arena, it looks like Vivo plans to follow it up with another high-end offering. In a couple of teaser images in Chinese micro-blogging platform Weibo, the company shares some bits and details about the upcoming Android device.

In the first image, we see the letter 'X' with a huge lens at the middle. This led the report to assume that the upcoming device would be named Vivo X-Zoom.

Meanwhile, the second image tells us some key specs of the device including a Snapdragon 801 chipset, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory.

In the post, Vivo referred to the unannounced handset as the 'ultimate Hi-Fi experience', which could also mean that the smartphone will have a great set of speakers to boot.

We'll bring you more details about this upcoming Vivo smartphone in the coming weeks.
