Kate Upton Channels Marilyn Monroe at Movie Opening, But That's Not Where Similarities End; Upton's Hot Intro Recalls Marilyn's Debut [VIDEO]
Kate Upton is hot. Everyone pretty much agrees. Kate Upton is a fashion and a beauty icon, much like a modern day Marilyn Monroe. While Kate Upton didn't study at The Actor's School, she makes a similar spash in her bikini introduction in "The Other Woman" as Marilyn Monroe did in the Marx Brothers' "Love Happy." When Marilyn Monroe auditioned with other Hollywood beauties and the casting guy asked which one they wanted, Groucho Marx simply said "You have to ask?"
Kate Upton channeled Marilyn Monroe on the red carpet on Tuesday night at the London premiere of her upcoming film "The Other Woman." Kate wore a white Christian Siriano dress with a black belt, nude pumps and not much else. Classic. Minimal. But her hair was done in a vinate, retro old Hollywood bob reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe.
This isn't the first time, Kate Upton has channeled Marilyn Monroe. Kate Upton got "More Like It Hot" hot on Vanity Fair cover in September 2013. Monroe and Upton are both hailed for their voluptuous build and curves. Upton and Monroe both have famous bosoms, four all together. Accordign to Kate Upton's modelling profile, her body measurements are 33-25-36. Marilyn Monroe's measurements are recorded as 36-24-37.
Cameron Diaz, 41, showed up in a skintight leather dress. Leslie Mann, 42, wore a yellow Delpozo dress.
Kate Upton plays the other other woman in Nick Cassavetes's upcoming comedy, "The Other Woman." Leslie Mann's character Kate is married to Mark played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau of HBO's "Game of Thrones." At first Kate is upset when Mark is cheating with Carly, played by Cameron Diaz, until they band together for revenge only to find out about Kate Upton's Amber, the new Other Woman.
Kate Upton's "The Other Woman" also stars Nicki Minaj, Leslie Mann, Taylor Kinney and Cameron Diaz.
Director Nick Casavettes made the films "The Notebook" and "Alpha Dog."
Supermodel Kate Upton has been called a "modern day Marilyn Monroe" going from Sports Illustrated covers to movies. Kate did a silver plated cameo in the film "Tower Heist" in 2011 and raised the temperatures of "The Three Stooges" in 2012. Upton's third film, "The Other Woman," is no cameo though. It looks like she spars evenly with Leslie Mann and Cameron Diaz.
Kate Upton recently told E! News that Diaz and Mann "were the most inspirational and amazing women I had the honor to work with. They were really helpful in my experience with the movie, and I really appreciated all of their advice and all of their encouragement."
