Vin Diesel Marvel Movie In 2017? Which Role Will He Play? 'Groot' Voice Actor Knocked Skulls With Jason Statham In 'Fast And Furious' Set!

Vin Diesel will lend the voice to Groot's one liners in "Guardians of the Galaxy." However, Marvel will not let an A-list actor play such a minor role, voice only to boot. The project is believed to be a prelude to a major role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The star of the hit action franchise "Fast and Furious" recently suffered a concussion on the set. He shared the incident to his 70 million followers on Facebook:

"Knocked skulls with Statham, literally... then got beaten with lead pipes. Slammed against a car and suffered a minor concussion...

But I promised Pablo this would be the biggest film in history... haha... all in a days work.

P.s. Proud of the whole Fast team."

Speaking of "Fast And Furious" his co-star in the film Dwayne Johnson has already confirmed to play a major DC comics character with Warner Bros. Vin Diesel has already hinted the same with Marvel.

There has already been major speculation as to who Diesel will play. He is versatile and imposing enough to be a hero or villain.

Screenrant transcribed the actor's statements from an interview with Maria Menounos:

"I had heard over the last year people on the social media page saying 'what's up Vin? Why aren't you going to Marvel? Why aren't you doing anything with Marvel? It would be a crime of cinematic history for you not to be.' So I'm thinking this Marvel thing is becoming really, really important to these people. Okay, what can I do? What should I think?

I get the call, I go down to meet with Marvel - a great meeting. I mean it was just... it was even talking about something so big I can't even talk about because it's like a merging of brands in a way which I won't get into, but that was way, way, way, way down the road."

With those words, Screenrant came up with their analysis: "With Marvel Studios planning two films for 2016 and another two in 2017 (only has a release date so far), leading to what we can expect to be The Avengers 3 in May 2018, it's a safe bet that two of the four will be three-quels to Captain America and Thorwith the remaining two slots left open for one or two new IPs. At this point, based on namedrops alone from Marvel execs, Doctor Strange and The Inhumans are the most likely candidates, the latter of which can even serve as a quasi-sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy due to its cosmic origins."

Will Vin Diesel play Black Bolt, the leader of the Inhumans? That would be an interesting and important role.
