Ash, Diancie Featured In Pokemon Nintendo 3DS Bundles: X And Y Xerneas And Yveltal Designs For Movie 17 'Cocoon Of Destruction' And 2014 World Cup Promotions!

In an effort to promote "Cocoon of Destruction & Diancie" and the 2014 World Cup, a new line of Nintendo 3DS system will feature Pokemon X and Y designs.

According to Serebii, a red, white, and blue Nintendo 3DS will feature the same design inspired by Pokemon X and Y and the upcoming movie.

In the design, we see Ash and Pikachu encountering legendary Pokemon Xerneas and Yveltal. In the back, we see Pikachu and newly introduced Pokemon Diancie.

Reportedly, each Nintendo 3DS is being distributed at a specific home game for one of three soccer teams in Japan: F.C. Tokyo, Yokohama F Marinos, and the Urawa RED Diamond.

This is part of a promotion series which ties into the 2014 World Cup. Pikachu, according to Gamespot, has already been announced as the official mascot for the Japanese soccer team at this summer's 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

In addition, the Nintendo 3DS also ties into the upcoming Pokemon X and Y movie, "Cocoon of Destruction & Diancie."

The units are especially rare given that Diancie has never been featured on a specific merchandise until now. In fact, it is currently impossible to receive a Diancie for the Kalos Pokedex in the games.

The Pokemon X and Y movie will premiere in Japan on July 19, 2014, so many are anticipating a distribution event for Diancie closer to the release date.
