LG G3 Release Date: How Would LG's Upcoming Flagship Match Up With Current High-End Smartphones From Competing OEMs?

LG G3 release date: We already have a number of rumors circulating the Web that LG's upcoming flagship, the G3 is already under way and may launch sooner than expected.

However, even if it does launch today, would it be able to take on the tight Android flagship competition which is crowded by high-end devices from various manufacturers?

Well, the answer lies to whatever the G3 has in store for us.

Superb Display

From previous reports, we may be seeing a QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution for the G3. But if you think that would be enough to get the pedestal in the spec war, you are terribly mistaken. There are currently two devices with QHD display, the Vivo Xplay 3S, and Oppo's Find 7, and while LG's branding is much more popular than these two, they still pose a threat.

Meanwhile, Samsung, HTC and Sony may just have Full HD screens for their flagships, but they make up to it by getting high-end display materials so they are still relevant in this aspect.

Better RAM

Compared to most flagships, the LG G3 would be able to perform multi-tasking better due to its purported 3GB of RAM. Samsung's Galaxy S5 and the HTC One (M8) will not stand a chance with their 2GB versions, though the Sony Xperia Z2 and the Find 7 may be considered competitors in this category.

Excellent 'Real-Life' Features

As far as features is concerned, Samsung is considered the top Android phone maker, though for its previous releases, it has included features and apps which are good in theory, but do not work as good in practice. The LG G3 needs to have a unique phone feature that will separate it from the pack, and make Android fanboys drool.

Higher Quality Camera With OIS

The LG G3 camera is tipped at 16MP, but that is not enough to oust Sony's 20.7MP G Lens sensor. LG should up its game by including OIS once more, and improving camera features, functions and including more tools for post-shot editing.
