‘Batman Vs Superman’ Cast Rumors: 'The Wolverine's Tao Okamoto, Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey From '300' Sequel To Play New Characters Created For The Film!

The 'Batman Vs Superman' Cast Rumors hit a standstill after Jesse Eisenberg was cast as Lex Luthor. From out of the blue, Warner has reportedly added three new cast members and all of them will play characters never before seen on film.

The report from The Hollywood Reporter:

"Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey, the actor most recently seen in 300: Rise of an Empire, and Tao Okamoto (The Wolverine) have joined the cast of Warner Bros.' untitled Superman/Batman movie being directed by Zack Snyder.

All three actors will play characters newly created for the film.

'The trio join Henry Cavill, reprising his role as Superman/Clark Kent, Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince.  The studio's announcement follows the casting of Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred. Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane, who co-starred in Man of Steel, are also returning."

The idea of introducing new characters ends further speculation. It is also not known whether the three actors will be in costume or play peripheral characters.

Tao Okamoto played a major role in "The Wolverine," a Marvel based movie from Fox. She played Logan's Japanese love interest Mariko Yashida.

Holly Hunter is an Oscar-winning veteran actress and Callan Mulvey is a Snyder production returnee. Mulvey, who was born in New Zealand, shared details of a horrifying car accident he had with The Daily Mail:

"I thought it was curtains for me at the time. and it was a really long recovery to get back on the horse.

A whole midsection of my face collapsed, I got cut ear to ear over the top of my head, my scalp got pulled down, and they rebuilt my face.'

It's incredible what they did considering the first call my parents got was 'it's bad and we don't know if he's gonna make it and if he does he'll have pretty severe brain damage."

Mulvey has true superhero resilience. It is projected that he might play a minor villain in the film.
