Emma Watson Trades Her Wand for a Tail. Hermione Grainger Brings Harry Potter Magic to The Little Mermaid; Where are Her Hogwarts Classmates Now?

Emma Watson Little Mermaid Movie Casting Rumors: Emma Watson is reportedly Coppola's first choice for the role of Ariel. Emma has said she would definitely consider the role, saying ''I mean I'd have to read it first ... I love Sofia so much."

Emma Roberts plays Hermione Grainger, Hogart's favorite graduate in the Harry Potter film franchise. Hermione Grainger is rumored to be getting ready to put down her wizarding books and get more than a little wet. Emma Watson is on the short list to star in Sofia Coppola's new live action adaptation of the classic fairy tale, "The Little Mermaid."

Emma Watson is no stranger to the mysteries of the deep. Emma Watson is currently starring in the new biblical epic "Noah" with Russell Crowe, now Coppola is hoping Emma will submerge herself into the part of Ariel in "The Little Mermaid."

Emma Watson has been downplaying  'Little Mermaid' casting rumors 'for now.' But Emma Watson movies have a certain magic. Emma Watson body measurements don't include her fin and tails. She's leaving that to the stylists. Emma Watson responded to rumors that she is set to star in the upcoming adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's 'The Little Mermaid.' The new take on the old tail will be directed by Sofia Coppola.

A source told the media that ''Sofia wants Emma, and the pair have such respect for each other, it would be very unsurprising if they carry on without each other.''

Emma Watson worked with Sofia Coppola was on last year's hit movie "The Bling Ring."

Rumors that Emma Watson is being cast in a new live-action remake of The Little Mermaid could be a hoax, but Sofia Coppola's new "Little Mermaid" has already costumed herself for the part.

Emma said "I actually dressed up as Ariel for my fifth birthday."

Sofia Coppola has been looking at adapting Hans Christian Andersen's fairytale since "The Bling Ring" wrapped. In the original 1837 story the mermaid commits suicide after the prince marries another woman. Disney's 1989 cartoon version was not quite so dark.

Emma Watson appeared in "My Week With Marilyn," "The Perks of Being A Wallflower" and "The Bling Ring." She will soon star with Seth Rogen in the comedy, "This Is the End."

What's going on with the other magical graduates of Hogarts? Warner Bros. is getting ready to film another set of Harry Potter movies. One spinoff will be based on a fictional Hogwarts textbook, and another will be about the game of Quidditch. Daniel Radcliffe won't be in it. Radcliffe just shot the upcoming film "Kill Your Darlings."

Harry Potter's nemesis Tom Riddle was a problem student. Probably the posterboy for wayward Wizards. Frank Dillane, who played Tom Riddle, the young version of Voldemort, oh - did I say his name? - in "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,"  will star in "Maestro."

"Maestro" is about a young and talented piano player named Paul, who will be played by the evil Harry Potter actor Frank Dilane, who moves to Northern Australia in the 1960s. The young musician is forced to learn from the only piano teacher his father can find, a Viennese refugee with a mysterious past named Herr Keller. Keller is known to the locals as "Maestro." The role of Herr Keller hasn't been cast yet. "Maestro" will be directed by Catherine Jarvis. The screenplay is based on the book of the same name by Peter Goldsworthy.

Frank Dillane will next be seen in the Ron Howard film "Heart of the Sea." Dillane was recently cast in Gerardo Naranjo's untitled new drama alongside Dakota Fanning.

Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley, will play in the punk rock bio-pic "CGBG."
