Indie Film News: Lary Love Dolley Says Don't Get Burned, Cigarette Girl Kicks Butt [EXCLUSIVE]

Smoke 'em if you got 'em, and if you don't you can always call Cigarette Girl. America's been declared a smoke free zone and the only place to sneak out for a cig is The Smoking Section. Nicotine is in high demand and you there's only one place in the country to score.

Archer Records, in partnership with Mike McCarthy of Guerrilla Monster Films, announced that McCarthy's 2009 film Cigarette Girl will be available for the first time on DVD and digital streaming services worldwide on May 20, 2014.

KpopStarz spoke to one of the villains of "Cigarette Girl," Lary Love Dolley, who told KpopStarz exclusively, ""The first character I ever played on film, Hat Check Girl, was an antagonist, which as a lady of the left hand path is so befitting. Playing bad is so good, the heroine or ingenue might be the socially acceptable role but it's the bad girls they remember. The gun moll is such a significant criminal archetype."

Now directing and staring at her own horror productions, she admitted "I have only seen Cigarette Girl once, and that was at the Memphis premiere. I may watch it again since it has been released. It still feels strange watching myself act on screen.Cigarette Girl was my first film and I had no training, hopefully my acting has improved since then"

"Cigarette Girl" kicks butt. Since her grandmother died, she's been underselling her Vice Roys on the streets.

"Cigarette Girl" takes place in 2035. Smoking is illegal. You can't step outside for a smoke anymore. To feed your habit you have to go to a dystopian, dangerous, nicotine-stained Smoking Section. Cigarette Girl sells loosies on the streets, and they cost less than the smokes sold by The Vice Lord, who wants to stub her out.

"Cigarette Girl" got some notice after a short run of regional screenings in 2009, but it got caught up in the ash trays of distribution problems until early this year. Archer Records remastered Cigarette Girl in 5.1 surround sound and stereo and all DVD orders will come with a CD of the original motion picture score by Jonathan Kirkscey

The Limited Edition Package of "Cigarette Girls" contains an autographed DVD copy of Cigarette Girl in 5.1 surround sound and stereo; A CD of the original motion picture score by Jonathan Kirkscey and Director's Commentary by Mike McCarthy. With online bonus features like behind the scenes production photos, sketchbook art from director Mike McCarthy and short films featuring the stars of Cigarette Girl.

Dials plays "Cigarette Girl." The film also stars Helen Bowman as Grandma and Lary Love Dolley as Hat Check Girl.
