Install Official Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update On Samsung Galaxy Note 3; New Stock Firmware XXUDND1 Now Available For SM-N900 Units

A new stock firmware based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat update has been released for Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

Owners of the international version of Samsung Galaxy Note 3 can now install official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update. Released on September 2013, as posted on GSM Arena, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 became available with pre-installed Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. But with the current firmware available for the phablet, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 users can now experience Google's latest mobile operating system by installing the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.

 According to a post on International Business Times, the firmware with build number N900XXUDND1 is now available for the SM-N900 model of Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

The official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update was first rolled out to Russia, and it later became available for various Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.

The official Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware XXUDND1 is available via the Over-the-Air update or through the Samsung KIES server. But for those who have not received the official updates can opt to install Android 4.4.2 KitKat update through the manual installation process.

Below are some of the requirements to accomplish before installing the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update:

Make sure that you have the international variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Go to Settings > About Phone > Model Number and see if it is a SM-N900 unit.

The battery level of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 should be 80 percent or higher before proceeding with the installation process.

Create a backup of the important data and settings on your phone using custom recovery tools such as ClockWorkMod.

Enable USB Debugging Mode on your Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
