Selena Gomez Dumps Her Parents, Hires Katy Perry’s Manager; Too Much Personal Interference on Selena Gomez Justin Bieber Front?

Selena Gomez hired Katy Perry's manager after her abrupt dumping of her parents.

According to reports, Selena Gomez signed a deal with her new manager, Bradford Cobb, after she fired her mom Mandy Teefy and her stepfather Brian Teefy.

Actress Selena Gomez and her mother, Mandy Cornett, and step-father Brian Teefey have locked horns for the past few months. Selena's parents have controlled her affairs since 2007, since Gomez's big break on Disney show Wizards Of Waverly Place. Selena has said to the press that she believes she's "outgrown them".

Cobb turned Perry into a pop superstar, according to Us magazine. Bradford has spent more than a decade in the industry and is recognized for turning artists into pop sensations. Selena Gomez has her eye on Katy Perry's kind of success.

Cobb was named one of Billboard magazine's top 40 executives under 40 last year. Cobb has been Katy's manager for a decade. He also handles former American Idol star Adam Lambert.

Mandy and Brian have not been happy that Selena has been spending time with Justin Bieber. They blame Bieber for driving Selena to rehab in January.

An insider told the tabloids: "They're doing their best to supervise them. They're tolerating it as long as they know that there is someone who has eyes on them all the time."
