Doctor Who Season 8 Cast Jenna Coleman Turns 28 As Matt Smith Agrees To Return For Another Anniversary

As "Doctor Who" season 8 continues filming, updates on its current and former cast members have surfaced.

Today on April 27, Jenna-Louise Coleman is celebrating her 28th birthday.

Despite this momentous occasion, we know Jenna Coleman to be hard at work filming for "Doctor Who" season 8 as Clara.

Recently, Jenna Coleman was photographed wearing a medieval costume for the "Doctor Who" season 8 episode "Robots of Sherwood." The episode was penned by Mark Gatiss.

Coincidentally, Jenna Coleman shares the same birthday as Russell T. Davies, the man responsible for reviving the "Doctor Who" franchise for the modern era. He turns 51 today.

Yet despite all the festivities surrounding "Doctor Who" filming, some fans are still pining after Matt Smith, who left after the 50th Anniversary and Christmas Special.

Fortunately, Doctor Who TV reports that the actor is more than willing to return for another anniversariy alongside the likes of David Tennant, and perhaps the recently anointed Doctor Peter Capaldi.

“David is a great guy and a good friend. It was so fun. Doctors in the same room is just magic, isn’t it," raved Smith at the Wizard World Con.

 “I’ll happily come back for another anniversary!”
