"Orange Is the New Black" star Laura Prepon addresses Tom Cruise dating rumors. They may share the same religion but they are definitely not a couple.
"It's just so funny that, when people don't know, they just make stuff up ... apparently I'm dating Tom Cruise right now," Prepon explained during an interview with SheKnows.com. "And apparently he doesn't want me doing the show because I portray a lesbian and I'm a Scientologist. This is false; where are they even getting this stuff? It's unbelievable to me," the actress added.
It has been reported by The New York Post's Page Six that the "Mission Impossible" star is secretly dating Prepon for some time now.
"It's the buzz on the set of her show," an insider revealed to Page Six of the two Hollywood Scientologists, who were caught in a cozy dinner at the Manor Hotel in Los Angeles in November.
An allegation that Tom Cruise's rep vehemently denies, claiming that the two haven't even met yet.
The "Orange Is the New Black" star Laura Prepon did not only have to shoot down rumors about her dating Katie Holme's ex-husband, but she also have something to say about Scientology and people's misconception about her religion.
"The thing that sucks is that there's so much false data because people are in mystery as to what Scientology is, so they just kind of make up stuff," Prepon explained to SheKnows. "It's kind of unfortunate because then I have to be like, 'No, that's actually not what's happening.'"
Furthermore, "The Orange Is the New Black" star Laura Prepon also wanted to shed a light about Scientology and its stand on the LGBT community.
"You know, in terms of portraying a lesbian on the show, I am a huge supporter of the LGBT community. I'm going to the GLAAD Awards in a few weeks," she clarified. "I went to the human rights campaign. I flew up to San Francisco and did this whole thing and I won this award [for] being a straight woman portraying a gay woman on camera. I'm a total supporter of the LGBT and they are an amazing fan base."
