Upcoming HTC Phones 2014: Is The Midrange Strategy Working For HTC?

Upcoming HTC phones 2014: For the past couple of years, Samsung has been way ahead in terms of market share and total income among its Android competitors. But this success should not be attributed to only its lineup of flagships.

Apart from the impressive performances of its Galaxy S and Note high-end lineups, most of Samsung's success lie on its huge arsenal of midrange devices. Mostly based on previous and current flagships themselves, these midrangers have their own strengths and selling points which make them ideal options for budget consumers.

During the prevous months, LG has been following this strategy by Samsung, though it has not released as many devices as its Korean rival. And now, it is time for HTC.

In the past years, HTC has released a very small number of devices, including its flagships. While Samsung has dozens of smartphones in the market for 2013, the Taiwanese manufacturer has less than 10.

However, 2014 looks like it would be a much better year for the struggling tech company. Two midrangers in particular, the HTC Desire 610 and the 816 have already made quite an impact in such a short amount of time. A couple of months back, thousands of Desire 816 units reportedly sold out in 10 minutes.

That is how you use gorgeous form factor and affordable pricing.

In fact, even before the HTC One M8 was launched, several analysts have already predicted a rise in HTC's stocks for this quarter.

And now that the Desire 610 is now headed to the UK, and soon the entire Europe, we will see how much it can give HTC in order to bring the once Android top dog to its feet.
