Doctor Who Season 8 Spoilers: Robin Hood, Danny Pink Introduction In Episode 4, And 'Being Human' Writer Joining Series Before Premiere Date

As "Doctor Who" season 8 continues filming, spoilers regarding new characters have surfaced.

Spoilers from Doctor Who TV confirm that actor Tom Riley will join "Doctor Who" season 8 in episode 3 as Robin Hood.

“I can’t tell you [what character I'm playing]. The photos are out there and people are putting together what they think I might be playing. It’s just one episode but it’s a really fun and it’s written by Mark Gatiss, so we’re in good hands," says Tom Riley to Flicks and the City.

On Peter Capaldi, Tom Riley thinks he will "revitalize the show—not that it needed revitalizing—but he's going to bring something completely different to the Doctor. When you change a lead actor, everything’s going to change, but you can rest assured he’s going to absolutely smash it!”

In addition, spoilers confirm that the new recurring character Danny Pink will be introduced in episode 4 of season 8.

Reportedly, the premise of this "Doctor Who" episode is, "When you talk to yourself, what if the person you’re talking to isn’t really you?”

From spoilers of set photos, it seems a minotaur-like monster will be in the episode, along with actor Samuel Anderson playing the Coal Hill School teacher.

And as "Doctor Who" season 8 gets close to the last batch of episodes, two new writers have been confirmed.

Peter Harness ("Wallander," "Case Histories") has written an episode which he describes as "a rather crazy one." Jamie Mathieson, a writer from "Being Human," will also feature an episode. Both episodes will shoot in early May.
