Selena Gomez hired Katy Perry's manager after her abrupt dumping of her parents.

According to reports, Selena Gomez signed a deal with her new manager, Bradford Cobb, after a long search and many rumors. Gomez has been "cleaning house" since deciding to get back with her former boyfriend, Justin Bieber. Gomez also parted ways with her label Hollywood Records and unfriended everyone on Instagram.

Selena Gomez has hired Katy Perry's manager Bradford Cobb in order to take her career to the next level. after she fired her mom Mandy Teefy and her stepfather Brian Teefy. This decision by Selena to choose Bradford has been a long time coming. The decision to consult with Cobb comes after Gomez cancelled her Australian tour in December and secretly entered rehab in January and reconnected with boyfriend Justin Bieber. 

Actress Selena Gomez and her mother, Mandy Cornett, and step-father Brian Teefey have locked horns for the past few months. Selena's parents have controlled her affairs since 2007, since Gomez's big break on Disney show Wizards Of Waverly Place. Selena has said to the press that she believes she's "outgrown them". Rumors speculated that Selena might use Kris Jenner as her new manager even began to pop up. Additionally, rumors about Selena possibly hiring Justin's manager Scooter Braun were on the rise as well.

Cobb was named one of Billboard magazine's top 40 executives under 40 last year. Cobb has been Katy's manager for a decade. He also handles former American Idol star Adam Lambert.

Mandy and Brian have not been happy that Selena has been spending time with Justin Bieber. They blame Bieber for driving Selena to rehab in January.
An insider told the tabloids: "They're doing their best to supervise them. They're tolerating it as long as they know that there is someone who has eyes on them all the time."
