Bethesda Trademark Prompts Fallout 4 Release Date Petition: 2014 E3 News Or Trailer Seems Promising For Boston Sequel

As the 2014 E3 draws closer, anticipation for a Fallout 4 release date has risen to new heights—with yet another petition.

According to The Fuse Joplin, a Fallout 4 petition has appeared on Change.org, demanding that Bethesda reveal any information that the game is in development.

This is no doubt caused by the prolonged silence from Bethesda, as well as numerous hoaxes which have gotten our hopes up, only to be cruelly dashed.

Reportedly, the petition has garnered over 8 thousand signatures, but whether this will convince the stubborn developer to make fans' wishes come true remains to be seen.

Similar petitions have come to life for games such as Half-Life 3 and GTA 5 for the PC, the latter of which has garnered over 700,000 signatures.

Which is not to say there aren't signs that Fallout 4 will get some big news announcements soon, like at the 2014 E3.

According to IGN, Bethesda's parent company ZeniMax Media recently filed three trademarks for "Nuka Cola," a popular brand in the Fallout world.

Reportedly, the three filings pertain to computer software, clothing or apparel, and electronic services, specifically "relating to electronic computer games via the Internet."

Although such a trademark does not indicate a Fallout 4 release date, it does show that work is being done by the company pertaining to the series.

And timing of it—right before the E3—has many fans getting their hopes up once again.

Many publications, including Gamespot, believes that the 2014 E3 will have some sort of announcement for Fallout 4 from Bethesda, but whether that is a release date remains to be seen.
