LG G Watch Expected To Hit European Stores In June, Costs Only 199 Euros, Comes In Black And New Gold Option

LG G Watch: While the first smartwatch running on an operating system was released a couple of years ago courtesy of Sony, it only became popular when Samsung released the uninspiring first generation of the Galaxy Gear. It looked like the low reception for the device motivated other OEMs to tell themselves 'hey we can also do that'.

And so the smartwatch wars officially began.

According to a recent report by GSM Arena, LG France has confirmed via a French publication that the G Watch will hit Europe in June, with a price tag of only 199 euros (though the report said it would probably cost just $199 in the US).

In case you are wondering, LG has officially launched the device several weeks ago and in that short span of time, it has already gotten quite a lot of attention.

For one, that is because it could be the base model for the upcoming Google Nexus smartwatch which could be unveiled in the next couple of months. The launch date for the said smartwatch could even be sooner with the recent announcement of Android Wear OS.

if you are eyeing this LG G Watch smartwatch, here are some specs. The device sports a 280 x 280 resolution, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory.

Similar to other smartwatch devices from other manufacturers, we expect the LG G Watch to fully connect to most, if not all Android devices.

In fact, the smartwatch may officially become available in time for the launch of another LG phone, particularly the G3. That way, anyone buying the device would be able to easily use the device and test its strengths while testing the G3 as well.

Unfortunately, all we can do now is speculate, and just wait for further 'rumors', or much better the official announcement from LG.
