Amazon Kindle Phone: Retailer Giant Brings iPhone 5c And Galaxy S Designs In One Ultimate Smartphone, Other Specs Include 4.7" Display, 6 Camera Modules

Amazon Kindle phone: For the past months, we have been reading a lot about Amazon's plan on entering the smartphone market. Indeed, its Kindle slates are doing well, and have even given Amazon the second spot in North America in terms of mobile traffic.

However, there were also some who are skeptic with this move by Amazon, stating that the Kindle phone will not survive the highly competitive Android market.

But it looks like Amazon is really serious in taking a part of the Android market pie. The retailer giant's own graphic designers worked on the official image of the Kindle phone, and it certainly looks stunning.

From the images, we can see that the design looks like a hybrid of Apple's iPhone and Samsung's lineup of Galaxy devices.

The rectangular shape is certainly a lot more like the iPhone, though the home button itself looks exactly like what Samsung has been placing on its flagship devices for the past couple of years.

In the image, the SIM slot and volume buttons are located at the side of the device, while the charging port is placed at the bottom, similar to where Apple places it on its iPhones.

If you are interested in checking out the Amazon Kindle phone, here are some of the rumored specs which have been making rounds all over the Web. The smartphone allegedly packs a 4.7-inchd display with 720p resolution, a quad-core CPU, Snapdragon chipset (possibly 800), 2GB of RAM and Amazon's customized Android skin.

Also on board are the six camera modules which would allow the device to support 3D effects. While we do not have an exact date yet, the announcement could be sooner rather than later due to this official render of the device.

We will keep you posted for more details about Amazon's first ever Kindle phone.
